Some Xmas Cards I Have Been Working On

Here are a few xmas cards I have been working on over the past few days.

Wendy's Sketch #23

This is the card I have made using Wendy's Sketch no 23 from Crafters Companion Forum. I have used a Penny Black Stamped image and coloured it with pencils and blended with Sansodor. The papers are from Shabby Princess and I have matted these onto silver foil card. Thanks for looking Rachel xx

CPS #77

This is the card I have made for the CPS #77 Challenge . I have used a strip of the new Papermania Naughty and Nice 2"x12" paper pack and cut into 2" squares, matted these onto silver holographic card. Then used a simple white card stock. The ribbon is from dovecraft and the silver greeting is from Anitas. I quite like this card as it is simple but I think it works quite well. Rachel xxx

Make mine a double

This is the card I have made for two challenges. Penny Black Challenge 10 - Ribbons ABC - E for Embelishments I have used a Penny Black stamped image and coloured with pencils. The paper is from Scrapbookingmad's Shabby Rose Cd. The flower embelishments are from Prima, ribbon from dovecrafts and sentiment embelishment from Papermania. Thanks for looking Rachel xxx

Card from my tutorial - Anniversary card for my parents

I have made this card using the new Crafters Companion Occassions cd. It is a double pop out gatefold card like in the tutorial. I have printed the topper onto pearl card and used pink pearl card as the base card stock.

Wedding Card Order

This is the card I have made for my sister's boyfriend. His boss is getting married and she asked me to make this card for him. The colour scheme of the wedding is brown, orange and cream. At first I didn't have a clue what to make but I am actually pleased with the way it has turned out. I have used the Crafters Companion Love CD1 and Everyday CD1 for the papers, alphabet and topper. I also used the Glitter Girls Majestic Board for the base to the topper. This card is a Triangular Tri-fold card it measures 21cm square when closed. Thanks to Von for the brilliant instructions on how to make this card. I have made a box for the card and also wrapped the card in parchment to make it look a bit classy.

Another Newcastle United Card Order

I was asked to make this card as the lady saw the last one I had made and loved it. It is very similar to the last one like this I made but have changed it ever so slightly. She was over the moon with it.

Sketch 21 Crafters Companion and Competition Entry

This is a card I have made for the crafters companion sketch challenge this week #21. I am also going to enter it into a Competition a lady I know is hosting. For this competition we had to make a female birthday card. I have used the Crafters Companion Cute Companion cd rom for the paper, insert and paper ribbon strip. I used some white card stock for the base, pink and silver mirror board for matting and layering. The ribbons I have used are from dovecraft. To finish the card I have used craft creations peel offs.

In the Night Garden

This card is for an order I have been given. The lady wanted a card with an In the Night Garden theme and Igglepiggle for her Grandson. I found images on the internet and decoupaged the bottom pannel and added peel offs to this. Igglepiggle has been mounted onto white card which I have embossed using my dotty folder in my cuttlebug and then matted this onto co-ordinating blue card stock. The base card was from my cardstock stash which I have made a 21cm square card with. I then added peel off stars to finish the card off. Thanks for looking Hugs Rachel

Double challenge card

I have decided to combine two challenges for this card. Cute Card Thursday Challenge 20 - Things That Grow CPS #75 The card itself is 21x21cm. I have used a penny black stamped image and coloured this with pencils and blended with Sansodor. The image is then matted onto gold mirror card. The papers I have used are from the Shabby Princess Promise collection free download. I have then added an embelishment which reads 'you fill my life with whole bunches of love' and some heart gems.

Sketch Saturday Challenge #9

This is my attempt at the Sketch Saturday challenge for this week. The stamped image is coloured with pencils and blended with sansodor. The papers are from shabby princess free downloads. I have used a crafters companion stamp for the birthday wishes sentiment and added a paper flower and brad. Hugs Rachel xxx

Penny Black Saturday Challenge 7 - Down on the farm

This is the card I have made for this weeks Penny Black Challenge . I have colured the image with coloured pencils and blended with sansodor. The backing papers are from the Shabby Princess Harvest Spice download and the happy birthday sentiment which I have stamped onto cardstock is from Cuddly Buddly. Thanks for looking. Rachel xxx

I do....... with a twist!!

This is the card I have made for the daring card makers mid week challenge . The brief was to make a wedding card using bright clours and not traditional whites, creams and silver. I decided to use a bella image for mine. Coloured it with pencils and blended with sansodor. I used a funky fairy download paper and coordinating blue cards which i ran through my cuttlebug and dotty folder. I then added ribbon detail and on your wedding day peel of greeting.

A Card For Von

This is a card I sent Von from the Crafters Companion Forum as I couldn't resist after a comment she left for me on some of my cards. She said they looked sweet and a bit like cookies if they had been brown. The backing paper and image are from Robert Adams Sugar and Spice CD Rom. I took the image of the bear into 3d2 Card Builder and made it into a pyramiage. I think this is a very cute, cuddly sweet card. Hope you like Rachel xx

Hedgie and Robin

This time I have used a Penny Black Stamped image. I love the expression on the Hedgehogs face, don't you? The image is again cloured with pencils and blended with Sansodor. I have matted it onto some red mirror card and then layred up some Shabby Princess papers.

It's time to sledge Hamish.

I love this cute Hamish image which again I have coloured with pencils and blended with Sansodor. I have matted this onto green mirror card this time. The paper is a Shabby Princess download and I have added two brads for to accent. This card is simple but I like the effect. Hugs Rachel xx

Maggie's Prepared!!

I have coloured this Maggie image using pencils and blended with sansodor. I have addedd glammor dust in places so she sparkles then matted this onto gold mirror card. The backing paper is a funky fairy download and I have edged this with a gold peel off.

Noel

This is a 21cm sqaure card. I have coloured the snowman image using coloured pencils and glittered the snowman with glammor dust. I have matted this onto some ribbed card and matted a noel embelishment onto the same cardstock. The backing papers I have used are from a paerstack. I have finally added two star gems for an accent.

Arty Girls Challenge #42 - Sketch

This is my entry into the Arty Girls Challenge #42 . This time we had to make a card from a sketch. I decided to use this sugar nellie fairy stamped image and colour it with pencils. I have used Shabby Princess backing papers and matted these onto silver mirror card. The flowers are my new Prima Got Prints paper flowers and I have added co-ordinating brads. Hope you like it as I do. Hugs Rachel xx

Wine anyone?

I loved this image I just had to do it for my work colleague's birthday. She likes a glass of wine or two of an evening and I actually thought the elegance of Bella resembles her. The backing papers are a Shabby Princess one and a Cuddly Buddly one which I have adapted the colour wit my graphics program. The layout is from yesterday Arty Girls sketch challenge which I have adapted slightly by making an A5 card instead of the square one. I was going to use this one to enter into the challenge but then decided to make another, my 'star fairy' card. Hope you like and have a great day. Hugs Rachel xx

Oh Christmas Tree

I know another christmas card in July but it's one less to make now. This image and backing paper is from the Crafters Companion Quick Cards for Christmas CD Rom. Not traditional christams colours but I think it works. I have added stickles glitter glue and a ribbon with gems to finish the design off.

Born to Shop........... for shoes and boots..

I love this card. Again it is from the Crafters Companion Cd backing paper just printed in a different colour way. I have added som stickles glitter glue onto this one for to add a bit of bling!!

Shoes, boots and pretty in pink!!

This is one of the cards I am sending to Kath for her to sell for her good cause. I have used the Crafters Companion Everyday CD rom for the paper and toppers.
